Expanding Communities

Expanding Out is committed to bringing ideas of creativity to the community.  These workshops focus on all parts of the community, including libraries, schools, religious institutions and other civic organizations.  Our goal for this program is to use concepts of Creative Thinking to engage, inspire and strengthen the bonds between community members.

B'Nai Keshet Reconstructionist Synagogue

This workshop explores the relationship between the mystical elements of Kabbalah and the creative process. With the rabbi and a group of congregants, we are engaging with the Jewish mystical tradition and its four worlds of spiritual development:

(1) Asiyah--"action"

(2) Yetzirah--"formation"

(3) Beri'ah--"creation"

(4) Atzilut--"flow"

Weaving creative concepts and exercises into a study of Kabbalah, the class is attempting to elucidate the spiritual aspects of the creative process.
